This week I am thankful mainly for getting over this cold/flu whatever… slowly but surely, but there are also many other things to be thankful for:
- Living close to a really gorgeous wonderful, large park which has a cafe in it
- Having someone to come once a month and clean our windows outside, it’s worth every single penny
- New sneakers, I was always suspicious as to why certain sneakers are so expensive. After investingĀ into a good pair myself I know why, the difference is almost shocking. Makes walking fun!
- Dora The Explorer, who is giving me 30 minutes of peace to write this post.
- for arranging a meeting with a potential model for my picture project
- for having an idea for the second picture project
- for central heating as it suddenly has gone very cold
- camomille tea, suddenly really love camomille tea
- for having my voice back so Dharma and I can have our reading book session each day!
- for having finally sorted that our car insurance pays our car claim for the accident that was not our fault
- for having plenty of translation to do over the next week, despite it feeling a bit daunting at the moment
Happy weekend everyone!

Thanks for this Thankful Friday post–I just happened upon it (and the absolutely gorgeous photo that accompanies it!). Your blog and photos are just beautiful.
I too write a lot about my family and I have a regular feature on my blog called Thankful Thursday (which, considering that I’m in the US, could actually be the same day, depending on when we post). Thankfulness is a wonderful practice, and I’m so glad to see that others are dedicated to it!
I’ll come back and visit again soon!
-Cheryl (Dover, Delaware, USA)

You can buy my autobiography on almost any website. Just search ISBN # 9781440170904
Found your blog on the WordPress main page, took a peek and have to say it’s pretty damn cool! So as I sit here in London it is 6.23pm and thought add to the things I’m thankful for this Friday evening.
- Having a wonderful partner to go out tonight with
- A job
- A home to come back to and feel cosy in
- A city which is so vibrant to live in
- Sugared ring doughnuts to munch on
Rob
Your explanation is too cool Rob! London is my favorite. I would like to visit at least once in my life!
Thank you everyone for stopping by! It’s lovely and especially those lovely comments are really something else to be thankful for today!
Hope to see you all again!
I’m thankful for stumbling on this blog while looking for a place to start blogging (about America’s Shoot-Me-In-The-Foot Economics).
Wanted to see if you were in Chicago but couldn’t find the part that describes the author….
It’s wonderful to know that there are others out here that can write about important things….things to be thankful for. It’s such a downer to read the criticism and complaints that can permeate our blogs. Thanks for keeping it simply beautiful.
Gorgeous colours on the tree.

Thanks so much for your pertinent comments on being grateful for what comes our way, either lemons for lemonade or something a fine as a tree and bird calls.
I also have a website, Along Country Roads, where we celebrate some of these. Thanks for the great tree photo. I always zoom in on such.
Thankful friday for the congregational jumma prayer where the loneliness of the solitary dissipates, which I am missing.
Thankful friday for being by the sea in a quiet retreat contemplating life and…………………its end and everything in between.
God bless you!
Enjoyed your blog! Just started one myself since the death of my husband in February. It has helped me grieve. Take a peek at http://www.parkis2.wordpress.com

Right now I am thankful for cupcakes. They really are fabulous. Oh, and also the continued good weather where I live. I’m sort of dreading the rain.
I wish I could be grateful for cupcakes like Amber but cupcakes where I live seem to be made with box cakes and frostings are grainy.
So I’ll be grateful that it’s Friday and I don’t work weekends.
Also, grateful I stumbled on this blog, that I have enough money to do groceries, pay the bills and pay my admission to psych class, that I get to see my gorgeous boyfriend and we are going out tonight with one of my friends. Yay!!
I’m glad that I clicked your blog on the WordPress main page. I enjoyed reading what you are thankful for. It reminded me that I need to be more purposeful about expressing thankfulness.
Well I am thankful I came across your blog. Just about to do my own on Law of Attraction and you ‘vibed’ me in. I am thankful to you for being so uplifting.
Appreciation is one of the greatest ways of being in alignment and ‘allowing in’ everything you ask for. May everything you ask this Universe come to you in abundance.
Thank you.
I am totally with you on the law of attraction:)
Yes…
There is always something to thank about…
No matter how awful the day looks like…
Nice post, better blog…
I want to hear more about this sneaker and where I can get one!

It’s an asics gel kayano trainer. It’s a practical trainer, actually a running shoe. It’s so comfy, it makes me want to sleep in it! Seriously.
Thanks for the post. For me here, Tom and Jerry gives me that 30 minutes of rest
I am mother and wite about my family too.
I will visit soon as I like the way you write.
Just happened to notice that Dharma is a nice Indian name. Any special reason for naming your daughter that? Its having a deep moral and ethical implication here in India. Its meaning is righteousness.
Thanks for commenting. I get asked a lot why we chose “Dharma” as a name. I’ve written a post about it a while ago: http://memyselfandotherthings.wordpress.com/2009/08/21/the-meaning-of-dharma/
Thanks for the good photo theam.

I thank God to bump into this beautiful picture as my my ten little fingers are busy exploring the keys of my computer during this beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Picture which has an innate essence to effect healing and deeper communion with everything we have in common… that all, both human and non human belonged to one community is authored /designed, created and sustained by ONE that needs our participation.
